Participants will better understand the user inputs required and generated reports produced by WEPS simulation runs completed during the conservation planning process.
This webinar is designed to review and provide examples of how the Wind Erosion Prediction System (WEPS) software is used to support the conservation planning process used by NRCS and other conservation partners. The current NRCS release of WEPS will be used to show how the software is used to document benchmark and alternative crop systems and their effects on several natural resource concerns. The webinar will work through the user inputs necessary to complete a Benchmark simulation and document results. The Benchmark WEPS run results and analysis will be used to develop and compare user inputs and WEPS results generated for alternative management systems. The basics of using WEPS will be shown for a variety of crop systems.
This webinar is presented by USDA NRCS Science and Technology.
